Window Card

Window Card:

Can you believe it’s November already? Where does the time go? It’s even a little chilly here in Arizona. Yes, we finally got rid of our triple digit weather believe it or not. Seriously, everyone was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to happen.

I am so excited. I have stumbled across some new things and I wanted to share a stamp company I have fallen in love with. It’s called “There She Goes” and it is so cute. The sayings are amazing and I have just finished a card I just love. It’s a thank you card I made for the girls in my stamping group. It’s made with a set called “Art in the window”. It has darling flower boxes, birds, plus many adorable sayings to go with it. They are good quality stamps. Now I want all their stamps. They are awesome.

This card handcrafted by Mary Lynn.

This was pretty quick and easy. I used a regular 5 ½ X 8 1/12 white cardstock folded in half. Light green (something I had, not sure of exact color) 5 ¼ X 4 Red dot 4 ¾ X 2 ¾ …I distressed or sponged this piece a little very lightly with some Tim Holtz walnut ink. The red print is done with Nestabilities scallop square 3 ¼ size and then I punched holes in every scallop because I didn’t have the new one that’s out that has them already punched until I went to the convention this weekend…it really wasn’t that hard!!

The window is colored with copic markers. I backed it on a piece of white cardstock before I cut it out just to made it more substantial….just with a couple pieces of 2 way tape. Cut all the way into the hinges and then score so you can bend. It makes the shutters look like they are hinged partially opened. Stamp the tiny bird, cut it out and set it on the sill. Stamp the thank you in black and punch it with the oval punch from Stampin Up. Then use the coordinating oval scallop punch in an old fashioned turquoise paper. Use pop-up tape on the red scallop frame, the window, and both thank you ovals. The red dot ribbon really filled in the blank spot.

In the inside I put one of the darling sayings from the set… but believe me the other sayings are even cuter. You need to check them out. Have fun!!Hope you enjoy this card. Tune in next time for the darling spinner card from MFT.

Thanks. Mary Lynn
