Pretty cool motivation poems:

Just One Unknown

One song can spark a moment, One flower can wake the dream One tree can start a forest, One bird can herald spring.

One smile begins a friendship, One handclasp lifts a soul. One star can guide a ship at sea, One word can frame the goal

One vote can change a nation, One sunbeam lights a room One candle wipes out darkness, One laugh will conquer gloom.

One step must start each journey. One word must start each prayer. One hope will raise our spirits, One touch can show you care.

One voice can speak with wisdom, One heart can know what's true,

One life can make a difference, You see, it's up to you!

It Couldn't Be Done from motivation poems By Edgar A. Guest

Somebody said that it couldn't be done, But he with a chuckle replied That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn't be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that; At least no one ever has done it"; But he took off his coat and he took off his hat, And the first thing we knew he'd begun it. With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin, Without any doubting or quiddit, He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn't be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, There are thousands to prophesy failure; There are thousands to point out to you, one by one, The dangers that wait to assail you. But just buckle in with a bit of a grin, Just take off your coat and go to it; Just start to sing as you tackle the thing That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.

If I Had my Child To Raise Over Again from motivation poems by Diane Loomans

If I had my child to raise all over again, I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later. I'd finger paint more, and point the finger less. I would do less correcting and more connecting. I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes. I would care to know less and know to care more. I'd take more hikes and fly more kites. I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play. I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars, I'd do more hugging and less tugging. I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often, I would be firm less often, and affirm much more. I'd model less about the love of power, And more about the power of love

A motivation poem I Resign Unknown

I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an

adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities

of an 8-year-old again. I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star

restaurant. I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make

ripples with rocks. I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can

eat them. I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand

with my friends on a hot summer day. I want to return to a time when life was simple. When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and

nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you

didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care.

All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully

unaware of all the things that should make you worried or

upset. I want to think the world is fair. That everyone is honest

and good. I want to believe that anything is possible. I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be

overly excited by the little things again. I want to live simple again. I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes,

mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive

more days in the month than there is money in the bank,

doctor bills, gossip, illness, and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind

word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination,

mankind, and making angels in the snow.'s my checkbook and my car keys, my credit cards

and all my responsibility.

I am officially resigning from adulthood. And if you want

to discuss this further, you'll have to catch me first,

Cool Motivation poems:

Don't Quit Unknown

When things go wrong as they sometimes will; When the road you're trudging seems all uphill; When the funds are low, and the debts are high; And you want to smile, but you have to sigh; When care is pressing you down a bit Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out; The silver tint of the clouds of doubt; And you can never tell how close you are; It may be near when it seems afar. So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

Promise Yourself from motivation poems by The Optimist Creed

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel like there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living person you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, and too strong for fear, and to happy to permit the presence of trouble.

The Victor from motivation poems by C. W. Longenecker

If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don't. If you like to win but think you can't, It's almost a cinch you won't. If you think you'll lose, you're lost. For out in the world we find Success begins with a fellow's will. It's all in the state of mind. If you think you are out classed, you are. You've got to think high to rise. You've got to be sure of your-self before You can ever win the prize. Life's battles don't always go To the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later, the man who wins Is the man who thinks he can.

Follow Your Dream from motivation poems by Amanda Bradley

Follow your dream. Take one step at a time and don't settle for less, Just continue to climb. Follow your dream. If you stumble, don't stop and lose sight of your goal Press to the top. For only on top can we see the whole view, Can we see what we've done and what we can do; Can we then have the vision to seek something new, Press on. Follow your dream.

The Road Not Taken from motivation poems by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. (doesn't he write great poems?)

Influence from motivation poems by Joseph Norris

Drop a pebble in the water, And its ripples reach out far; And the sunbeams dancing on them May reflect them to a star.

Give a smile to someone passing, Thereby making his morning glad; It may greet you in the evening When your own heart may be sad.

Do a deed of simple kindness; Though its end you may not see, It may reach, like widening ripples, Down a long eternity.

Before You from motivation poems by William Arthur Ward

Before you speak, listen. Before you write, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you invest, investigate. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try. Before you retire, save. Before you die, give.

Do More from motivation poems by William Arthur Ward

Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: help. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: work.

We Must from motivation poems by William Arthur Ward

We must be silent before we can listen. We must listen before we can learn. We must learn before we can prepare. We must prepare before we can serve. We must serve before we can lead.

Be The Best of Whatever You Are from motivation poems by Douglas Malloch

If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill, Be a scrub in the valley-but be The best little scrub by the side of the rill; Be a bush if you can't be a tree.

If you can't be a bush be a bit of the grass, And some highway happier make; If you can't be a muskie then just be a bass But the liveliest bass in the lake!

We can't all be captains, we've got to be crew, There's something for all of us here, There's big work to do, and there's lesser to do, And the task you must do is the near.

If you can't be a highway then just be a trail, If you can't be the sun be a star; It isn't by size that you win or you fail Be the best of whatever you are!

May You Have poem Unknown

May you have......

Enough happiness to keep you sweet, Enough trials to keep you strong, Enough sorrow to keep you human, Enough hope to keep you happy; Enough failure to keep you humble, Enough success to keep you eager, Enough friends to give you comfort, Enough wealth to meet your needs; Enough enthusiasm to look forward, Enough faith to banish depression, Enough determination to make each day better than yesterday.

Profit From Failure Unknown

The test of a man is the fight he makes, The grit that he daily shows; The way he stands on his feet and takes Fate's numerous bumps and blows. A coward can smile when there's naught to fear, When nothing his progress bars; But it takes a man to stand up and cheer While some other fellow stars.

It isn't the victory, after all, But the fight that a brother makes; The man who, driven against the wall, Still stands up erect and takes The blows of fate with his head held high; Bleeding, and bruised, and pale, Is the man who'll win in the by and by, For he isn't afraid to fail.

It's the bumps you get, and the jolts you get, And the shocks that your courage stands, The hours of sorrow and vain regret, The prize that escapes your hands, That test your mettle and prove your worth; It isn't the blows you deal, But the blows you take on the good old earth, That show if your stuff is real.
